FYLD shortlisted for three prestigious Utility Week Awards 2021
FYLD, the digital platform that transforms the ability of field workers and businesses to make real-time, data-driven decisions to enhance safety, productivity and quality, has been named as a finalist in three categories at the Utility Week Awards 2021.
The company has been shortlisted in the Disruptor, Digital Transformation and Utility Partner of the Year categories. Winners will be named at a ceremony hosted by Utility Week on 13 December, 2021.
Both the Disruptor and Digital Transformation awards are entered in the joint name of FYLD and SGN – the current holder of Utility Week’s ‘Utility of the Year’ accolade – and based upon its partnership with SGN, FYLD is a finalist in the Utility Partner of the Year category.
The shortlisted entries focus on FYLD’s technology for the digital transformation of fieldwork, and the identification of the way risks are identified before they pose harm – to improve safety, productivity, sustainability, and quality – in the utilities sector and beyond.
The AI platform has been developed through a partnership between technology experts and experienced field operators. Incubating FYLD in the operational environment of SGN was a critical factor to ensure that the technology solution was fit for purpose and genuinely improved the safety and efficiency of fieldforce teams.
Shelley Copsey, CEO of FYLD, commented:
“The Utility Week Awards are the gold standard of achievement for UK utilities and it is an honour to have FYLD and our revolutionary AI-driven technology recognised at this respected event.
“FYLD helps field teams to remove job blockers quickly and effectively, and as a digital and collaborative platform, it is ideally suited for the challenges of remote work. Our collaborative, digital platform has been designed to revolutionise the safety and efficiency of field teams based on real-time data-driven decision making, across a range of sectors including utilities.
“Our partnership with SGN has enabled us to understand the day-to-day pain points that field workers face. By leveraging that knowledge, we have been able to implement features into the application that address these challenges, including high-risk job alerts and proactive fatigue management. These features are made possible by our ground-breaking and powerful artificial intelligence, natural language processing and machine learning.
“We look forward to celebrating with all shortlisted companies in London in December.”
John Morea, CEO at SGN, said:
“At SGN, we’re committed to embracing digital transformation in order to improve the service we deliver to our customers, and to make our operations as safe and sustainable as possible. FYLD is playing a key role in delivering this ambition, and since rolling it out, it has made a significant impact on our operations in a very short time. FYLD has empowered our field workers by making many paper-based methods redundant, allowing them to collect data and turn it into actionable insights.
“By leveraging the smart, AI-driven data from FYLD, we’ve been able to identify risk before it poses harm and prioritise tasks. We’re proud of our partnership with FYLD, and we look forward to seeing the technology’s impact across the utility sector – and wish them luck at this year’s Utility Week Awards.”
